What Is Metaphysics?
If you’re a crystal lover chances are you’ve heard of the term “metaphysics,” by now, but perhaps you’re not exactly sure what it means?
Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that examines the fundamental nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, between substance and attribute, and between potentiality and actuality. - Wikipedia
Of course, there’s much more to metaphysics than that. I always tell people that metaphysics is the process of understanding what is unknown or unseen.
Metaphysics Is The Other 97%
Science isn’t 100 percent. There’s much that hasn’t been discovered thus science is always changing. Anytime something new is discovered it changes the way people think and operate. Science is limited.
- Science has only discovered 4% of the entire ocean.
- Science has only mapped out 3% of the known universe.
If we base our lives only on what we know and see we become blind.
If you were in elementary school and decided you only wanted to live life with what you currently know and can currently measure, you wouldn’t get very far in life.
Just because it can’t be measured, seen, or heard, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
A hundred years ago, people thought germs were a lie. A man was literally sentenced to an insane asylum for trying to tell the world about germs, but because people couldn’t see them they thought he was crazy.
Today, most of us know that germs are real and it has changed the way we live our lives. We wash our hands more, we (should) cover our face when sneezing or coughing to prevent the spread of germs, and we may even get vaccinations.
Metaphysics Is The Unseen/Unknown
Science hasn’t found a cure for every disease or illness, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The possibility and the likelihood that at one point there will be a cure or treatment for cancer is metaphysics. In fact, many people have resorted to metaphysics to treat such illnesses when Western Medicine, Science, and Doctors have failed.
I’m not saying that it will cure cancer, but there have been reports of such cases happening.
Fear of the unknown keeps many people stagnant in their lives. If you’re like us, wanting change, wanting to explore, then metaphysics is for you.
